Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
QR exec (“the app”) is designed to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what is processed and why.
Data that stays on your device
- Scan and creation history, folders, tags and notes are stored only on your device.
- If you turn on iCloud sync (Pro), this data is stored in your private iCloud account. We cannot access it.
- Camera images are processed on the device to read codes and are never uploaded.
Data processed on our server (qrexec.com)
- Anonymous account: a random device identifier, used to keep your dynamic QR codes. No name, email or phone is required.
- Dynamic QR codes you create: title, destination links, design and settings.
- Scan statistics for your dynamic codes: time, device type, operating system, browser, approximate country/city and IP address of the person scanning.
- Lead form submissions: the contact details people enter in forms you enable. You are responsible for having a legal basis to collect them.
- Link safety checks: the scanned web address may be checked against Google Safe Browsing.
- Purchase verification: Apple's signed transaction data to confirm a Pro subscription. We never receive your payment details.
- Diagnostics: anonymous crash and performance reports to fix bugs.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not show ads or use advertising trackers.
Service providers
Apple (App Store, iCloud), Google Safe Browsing (link checks) and Sentry (error monitoring) process limited data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
Dynamic codes, their statistics and leads are kept until you delete them in the app. To delete your server account and all related data, email us from the app's Support link.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13.
